PICKERING NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER | WELCOME BABY CHARLOTTE

PICKERING NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER | WELCOME BABY CHARLOTTE – Looking at these images, while it’s currently minus 12 outside, makes me feel ready for the coldness to be over and summer to arrive.

Before the pandemic, we only offered newborn images inside the studio, but boy was I unaware what the outdoor newborn session could bring. It’s my new obsession with outdoor newborn photography. I will offer it over studio newborn if the weather is right for it.  Keep in mind indoor sessions and outdoors sessions are done at different times of the day.

In studio sessions always start at 11:00 am. This gives the family time to get ready in the morning and get to me on time without the added stress of rushing too early in the morning. Outdoor sessions are done 1.5 hours before the sunset time.

One of my babies was born at the end of April, and the other, end of August. The chance was there to do my sons newborn session outside, had I thought of it I would have (ok, would have done both because it’s technically free). Where was this idea 9.5 years ago?

I love the indoor sessions don’t get me wrong. There is so much to appreciate with indoor sessions such as: controlled temperature, No wind, No bugs, Privacy, cleaner, and I also have a full size bed in the studio with a bathroom and a kids play area… just a few things to consider. BUT – the light – oh that warm sunny golden light, that I crave for every session. It’s just magical. When the stars align an you get a gorgeous summer sunset – you just can’t beat it. Give me the wind, the sand, the bugs, the onlookers, just for that light that peaks between the trees, and the Bokeh like no other.

Ok, now that I’m done gushing about the summer and how much I want it back (yes, I’m over the snow now, it was pretty, now time to go). I’d like to introduce this peach pie, named Charlotte. Those crystal blue eyes and head full of hair, she really can’t get any sweeter.

I photographed her older Sister, Adelaide’s session in their home, you can see that Lifestyle type blog post HERE . And a few more since she was born, so it was so nice to see how much she’s grown and how much she loves her baby sister. She really stepped into the big sister role so adorably. See for yourself…..

SLEEPING SKYE |  TORONTO NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER – I am so excited to be posting about this session! It’s been a long time coming, and I am right on track for sticking with my 2022 goal of blogging every week.

Often times parents are so convinced they MUST have their newborn images within the first two weeks of birth. I often tell parents who inquire that this isn’t necessary. I have had many older babies sleep longer and deeper than older infants, and here is proof. For all those babies who are in the NICU, or were without newborn images due to the pandemic, or simply because mom didn’t feel up for it – I’m here to tell you: It’s ok.  Just relax, and breath. Babies are beautifully photographed at ANY AGE. Yup, you heard that, any age. Plus, we have a Beautiful Client Wardrobe for mamas and baby!

Skye was actually 6 weeks new when she came in for her newborn photos. Her session was booked after she was already born and I was able to fit her into my schedule when they were ready.  Her parents followed my ‘How to Prepare” guide for their session and as you can see, the session was super successful. We got a great amount of awake and sleepy posing as well as added images with her parents. If she had an older sibling this would have been included as well as single images of her older sibling too.

If you are thinking of hiring a Toronto Newborn Photographer, Please give me a call (905) 409.7833 and we can discuss what you’re looking for and how we can create these timeless images for you to have – they are only this little, for a little while.  Please feel free to find us on Social Media!

Toronto Newborn Photographer | WELCOME ALEX

-Toronto Newborn Photographer | WELCOME ALEX – First of, I need to start of by saying I got goosebumps over this session. For Real. Natasha and V.J. had me do their first son’s newborn photos, and 6 years later, a ton more sessions, 2 more kids and a great friendship – I can’t say enough amazing things about this family. It’s true, I get along with all my amazing clients, and they are all special, there’s just something to be said about the longevity about watching your clients family grow and getting to document every milestone in their life. Lucky, doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel when they reach out for a session.

One of my favourite maternity sessions/beach sessions of all time was when Natasha was pregnant with Alex. When I get around to updating my website, I will be sure to put the session on the main gallery.  You should really CLICK HERE to check out the images. Talk about the most perfect golden light + a gorgeous family = one for the books.

Back to what I was saying, about this wonderful family. I’m sort of doing these blog posts out of order, because last month I just shot Alex’s 6 month milestone and family session. I honestly have lost count of our sessions together, but it’s been quite a few. If it were up to me, they would just keep creating more humans – They do such a perfect job. (and can I just comment on dad’s cool tats?!) See for yourself:  Alex’s In-studio Newborn Session!

DURHAM NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER | WELCOME GRACE

Well, I guess the term “I’ve been busy” is a complete understatement. I haven’t blogged in years? So very long! Too. Darn. Long. I’m still a Newborn and baby photographer in Durham Region, promise!

I sincerely apologize to all my beautiful clients for not showing off their gorgeous babies and families. Because, let me tell you, I am not exaggerating when I say this: I have the most adorable, fun, kind hearted, genuine and beautiful families as clients.

I’m going to try very hard to start blogging again. Lot’s of exciting things are planned for 2022 (that gets a blog post on it’s own), so I will do my best to try and catch up on – a hundred blog posts that I’m missing (insert crying laughing emoji here)

In the summer, of like the year before last, I was doing outdoor newborn sessions, due to the pandemic. At the time, it was safer for all. That summer I fell in love with outdoor newborn photography. Typically, evenings aren’t babies preferred time of day, but all the babies that summer of 2020, slept flawlessly (or at least that’s how I remember it a year and  a half later).

When Rebecca contacted me for her session, I was so pumped to do the session at the Beach in Durham Region. We got so lucky with the sun, and since she followed my How to Prepare guide the session went off perfectly.

In studio Newborn VS Outdoor Newborn Photography

Indoor newborn sessions were always my favourite. You can control the temperature, it’s all painted white and airy, my props won’t get dirty and it’s completely private to feed on demand.  After saying that, you have to kind of wonder why I don’t live in California, so I could do these all year round, right?

Introducing Grace, and her big fur brother, 12lb Robbie… (I could do a whole blog post on Robbie).  She was a dream baby. And just look at Robbie’s face!

DURHAM REGION NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER | WELCOME KANE How can it be that I haven’t blogged since July of last year? I have neglected my blog for so many months and have not showcased many adorable families I have had the pleasure of working with. It’s a real shame. lol! From now on, you can expect a blog post from me weekly. That’s right, you heard me. Weekly! Starting with this adorable little cherub in no particular Order. Meet Kane. While we did mama’s maternity session outdoors (another blog post, see what I mean by no particular order?), the newborn session was done in studio. This is one of my favourite newborn sessions to date. I could go on an on about how much I love this family, but I am due back in the studio today for a newborn session, and I need to finish setting up. So, enjoy this sweet little face. I sure did.
