The L Family in Port Perry | Newborn Photographer Durham Region – I was so lucky to photograph this beautiful family in their Port Perry home.  When clients inquire about an in home session I am always so excited, I love lifestyle images so much. I wanted to mention in this post for clients who don’t want all their images candid, that we do both candid and poses for in home sessions. Much like my in -studio sessions. I find each sessions needs both, partly because I like to have both for my own sessions, so it’s only naturally I shoot that way.

When I do in-home newborn sessions, I don’t need much from my clients. This family had a beautiful front window in their living room, so that was all the light I needed.  All the images Ruby and Eli below were done right in front of the window with my baby poser and my beautiful blankets. We did some family images throughout their living room as well that they will cherish as well.

To change it up a bit, I suggested we head outside for 20 mins to change the scenery. On the way to the backyard, I stopped in my tracks and asked the clients to sit on their front porch. I can’t imagine what they were thinking. “You want us to poses here??” I’m sure is what was going on in their heads. I often have a vision, and although clients may or may not see what I have in mind at the time, it always comes to light after they see their images in their proofing gallery.

Ruby and Eli were so easy to pose and work with at just under 4 years old and 5 months. Her little giggle and his little grin warmed my heart the entire time. Then again when I was editing them. I often get the clients who are absolute gems. I  love that these types of clients find me. Below are just a small sample of their images we shot that day. Enjoy! xx
