Maternity Photography Durham Region GTA | Sofia

Maternity Photography Durham Region GTA | Sofia –  I think once the nice weather hit, my blogging came to an immediate halt. I’m more of an outdoors girls (well, in the summer anyway), so I prefer to be outside with the kids as much as I can. Apart from shooting and editing I haven’t done much marketing, blogging or posting on social media these past few months. I do have to say, although the summer flew by, I did enjoy it.  I have so much news to share after the kids go back to school, I’ll have a ton of info and sessions to blog daily for the next few months.

But first, I wanted to share this collage of Sofia, a new client I met in the spring that I just adored. I can’t wait to share the image of her new 3×3 mini books from her newborn session. These photos are from when she was awaiting Moira’s arrival. Moira is more than 4 months old now! (see what I mean about how time flies?). It feels like this session was a couple of weeks ago.

I hope you are all having a great summer.

Stephanie xx

Baby Photographer in Durham Region | Emily Turns 2 – I’ve been photographing

Baby Photographer in Durham Region | Emily Turns 2 This sweet beautiful girl since she was a few months old.  Every time mama contacts me to book a sessions, I have to admit I do a little happy dance. As always, her mama booked well in advance and I was able to score an adorable dress from Florida with her in mind while I was vacationing.

I just love working with clients repeatedly and this family is no exception.  Besides her beautiful smile and her unique beautiful look, Emily is just the sweetest little girl. She’s getting so big and it feels like yesterday we did her  first session. Every session I have done for her has ended up in some sort of marketing campaign of mine. I’m not the greatest in keeping up with this ‘ole blog of mine, so I may have not kept up with posing all the sessions, but there sure are a few and I fall in love with them every time. I have teamed up with a few local businesses and I will for sure be choosing some of the images to display (more on that later).  Here are a few images from our session recently. Session took place in my studio. Wardrobe is also from the studio (for Emily).

Durham Region Newborn Photographer | Moira Sneak Peek

Durham Region Newborn Photographer | Moira Sneak Peek – I was so lucky to meet Moira and her beautiful family, both times in the studio. Here is a sneak peek until I have some more time to blog the entire session.  Mama booked in for both maternity and newborn session so I have lots of gorgeous images to share from our time together. I don’t typically do sneak peeks as it interrupts my work flow, but I am in the final edit stages of this session and the files are on their way to this mama now.

Newborn Baby Photographer in Toronto | Photographing Chandra Lee and her girls

Newborn Baby Photographer in Toronto | Photographing Chandra Lee and her girls – I have to admit, photographing other Photographers, especially extremely talented ones – keeps me on my toes. I always say I could do my job in my sleep. The connections with my clients, capturing their connections and the vision, it comes so naturally to me. Even the editing is like second nature. But, it all kind of comes to a crashing halt, when other talent ask me to photograph them. Despite being confident in my work. You want to do your best work for all your clients, except regular clients usually aren’t experts in Photography.

Insert Chandra. Chandra Lee Photography (newborn Baby Photographer in Toronto: Chandra Lee)-  has been photographing newborns before my daughter was born (who just turned 8 – another blog post on that). When I was learning my craft, I remember ooing and ahhing over her work as a new Photographer, and I still do now.

When Chandra contacted me and asked me to capture images of her and her daughter Maddie and new baby Albany, I can honestly say my heart started to beat faster when I saw the inquiry. My immediate thought was “YES, I Love a challenge!”  Fast forward to our session. Our session, taken in my studio, was anything but. Her girls were a breeze to photograph and so gorgeous. They came hair and make-up ready (dream), and so calm, cool and collected. We chatted the entire time. It was like I was photographing an old friend. It was such an honour getting to know the personal side of her. Besides being a talented Photographer, she also is an awesome mom. She loves those girls something fierce and it is very much reciprocated. Here are just a small sample of the images we captured that day. Chandra, thank you so much for choosing me for this. I really hope to work with you again. xoxo

Newborn Photographer GTA | Welcome Wyatt

Newborn Photographer GTA | Welcome Wyatt. Before I left for our 2 week family Holiday, I was able to squeeze this handsome little boy for his newborn photos. I remember thinking I hadn’t packed a thing, and all the items I was trying to remember not to forget on the way over to the session – the day before we left. I had a great feeling he’d be a champion sleeper for some reason and boy was he ever.

It never really concerns me if a baby won’t sleep for their photo shoot, but we were so lucky for Wyatt. If a baby doesn’t want to sleep, eye open shots are usually the ones parents fall in love with. I remember working on a pose mom wanted a few year ago (when I did more posing shots instead of natural), and we spent forever on this one pose. When the gallery was shown, mom did purchase the digital of the image that took the longest (included in the full gallery on usb), but she ended up ordering a 30″ canvas of an eye open shot of baby laying there, not posed, just looking in the lens. Simple. is.more.  Thank you K&B for choosing me to capture these special first days of Wyatt.
