Baby Photography GTA | Adam’s half birthday

Baby Photography GTA | Adam’s half birthday. When Adam’s mama contacted me to do a sitter milestone for her sweet babe Adam, I was over the moon. I hadn’t seen him since his newborn milestone, and from all the photos she was posting on facebook, I just knew he would be a great little subject. We spoke about wardrobe and what she should bring for their session and of course, I always tell me my clients not to stress about clothing, our studio has everything we’ll need. It’s important to avoid bright distracting colours or harsh patterns and big logos.  By steering clear of these key factors, it helps ensure that your images aren’t “too busy” thus taking away the focus on the baby. I always provide my clients with what to wear guides, and, of course, my baby wardrobe is free to use during sessions.

Adam’s grandparents joined his session and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how everything turned out. It’s so nice to see grandparents get into the photos with their grand children and make memories that can be past down for generations to come. I need to do this with my own kids. Everyone should if it’s an option to them.

DURHAM REGION TORONTO AREA FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER | HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017.

What an amazing year we have had here. Our little business has changed so much in this past year! Here are some of the year’s business highlights of 2016:

  • We moved into a commercial studio loft, with gorgeous light, a reception area, washroom and children’s play are. CLICK HERE to read more about that. Thanks to my hubby for all his help.
  • I have officially photographing and creating portraits for other families for over 10 years, almost 6 years in business.
  • For the Holiday Minis this year, we brought real trees into the studio and created an indoor mini tree farm. CLICK HERE to see how much fun we all had.
  • Stephanie Webster Photography was voted #1 Portrait studio in Clarington! (Thank you so much for voting for me!). My Plaque was delivered so I will keep it in my studio
  • What used to be a “few clothing items” on hand for mamas and their babes in the studio has grown to quite an extensive collection. Yep! Don’t have time to shop at all for your session? don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! (no seriously, I could open up my own clothing boutique 😉 Lots of items for moms, and babies to use for their portrait session in gorgeous organic cotton’s, soft fabrics and modern textures. All of course keeping it super classy and simple, allowing us to focus on your family without distractions of bold and loud colours.
  • One expecting couple drove all the way from CORNWALL for their maternity session on the beach with me. (I thought Milton was far!). I felt so honoured.

And on a Personal Level:

  • In February, my family traveled to the Orlando area, where I met the Talented Bethney Backhaus, I was so thrilled to have her take our images and cried when I received the gallery. <3
  • Fur-babies visited the studio this fall, one being our sweet pup Howie.
  • I Photographed my son’s kindergarten class – as a gift to all the parent’s for Christmas. Good deeds really do feed the soul

I lost count of how many sweet families I have photographed, but I have included some  highlights – tried to post one from each session.

There are many Exciting plans in the works for 2017 which I will be rolling out and announcing momentarily. I wish all my clients a happy, healthy and fabulous 2017!

I can’t wait to see you all this year! xoxox

TORONTO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHERS

TORONTO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHERS | THE MURPHY FAMILY – I was so happy to do this session at my favourite hot spot in the GTA. I Love this location and I shoot most of my outdoor images there during the months of May to October. This excited mama booked me in 2015 so we waited quite the while for this evening to come around.

When a family arrives, with their outfits on point, using soft, neutral and flattering clothing, this is the result.  Connections are easily focused on in the portraits rather than the distractions that bright and bold clothing can bring. The light on this particular evening was stunning. It was an early October session and you would think it was an end of summer session with the way the sunset looked. Clients get access to my pinterest board and we discuss outfits as part of the pre-consultation.

Here are some of the moments we captured that night. Beautiful little girls they are.

TORONTO NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY | LITTLEST BLUE JAY

TORONTO NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY | LITTLEST BLUE JAYS FAN

I have to admit, I was happy to see this proud dad arrive in a Jays jersey for his son Nash’s newborn portraits. Anyone who knows me – knows I am a Jays fan and have been, from a very young age. I used to  watch the games several nights a week with my poppy. Everything about the jays brings back such great genuine memories for me. So, naturally, I had dad do an image with his new littlest Jays fan with the jersey on. The H family was so great to work with. As a bonus, little Nash slept like a charm throughout his session and he was so easy to Photograph. This was my first day (second session) in my new studio and I couldn’t be more happier with how it turned out.  Here is a sneak peek of how the session went down 😉

DURHAM REGION TORONTO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY | GOODBYE SUMMER

DURHAM REGION TORONTO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY | GOODBYE SUMMER – As we neared the end of the gorgeous summer (+ light) we had, I was hopeful the weather would be lovely when we booked the session, and what a great day we ironically chose. Everything was perfect about this session. This family’s outfits (see my what to wear guides), their smiles and personalities were shining just like the golden Light we had. I knew during the session I would be in love with all the images in post edit. When I sent mom the gallery I literally waited on the other one of my email like a little kid in the candy store waiting for a reply. I’m so glad she’s just as in love with them as I am.

Good Bye summer 2016, you were a beauty.
